NextUp’s two-day Leading SAFe® – Certified SAFe® 5.1 Agilist (SA) class provides an overview of how to develop a Lean-Agile mindset and apply the principles and practices of the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®) to support Agile teams, programs, and program portfolio management. This class provides information on how to coordinate and lead a Lean-Agile transformation at an enterprise scale.

This course prepares individuals to take the exam and become a certified SAFe® Agilist (SA), which allows the student to be able to assess the Scrum maturity level of their organization during the two-day class and leave with a plan on how to make the necessary changes to linearly scale Scrum.

This course also allows students to claim 14 Project Management Institute (PMI)® Professional Development Units (PDUs).* and 16 Scrum Educational Units (SEUs) with the Scrum Alliance.

Who Should Attend

While anyone is welcome to attend the Leading SAFe class, the class is geared towards the following roles:
Executives and leaders, development, QA, infrastructure management program and project managers, product and product line management, portfolio managers, PMO, process leads, enterprise, system, and solution architects.

Course Outline

The Leading SAFe® – Certified SAFe® 5.1 Agilist (SA) helps students understand and apply the values and principles of a Lean-Agile mindset while applying SAFe’s Lean and Agile principles to the roles and practices of SAFe. The class will include information about creating high-performing teams, leading a SAFe transformation with SAFe’s implementation roadmap, supporting PI planning, Driving release on-demand with the continuous delivery pipeline, and help coordinate multiple Agile release trains and suppliers with a solution train.
